Based on the requesting units intent, facilities and capabilities the following list represents the skill that commanders can choose from to meet their operational needs.
(please note that these classes can be combined and modified to meet the needs of the customer)
(5 Days) Rifle Marksmanship Fundamentals
The Rifle Marksmanship Fundamentals course is a 5-day program which focuses on the Soldier’s need to accurately zero and engage threats from 25 to 300 meters under normal conditions with iron sights and optics. The program begins with the integrated act of firing and progresses to more rapid and accurate engagements employing the individual rifle. The outcome of this course leaves the student with a solid foundation of marksmanship skills to include: how to build a stable position, proper sight alignment and trigger control, external ballistics and how to compensate for environmental effects to external ballistics.
(5 Days) Advanced Rifle Marksmanship
The Advanced Rifle Marksmanship course is a 5-day program which focuses on the Soldier’s need to accurately engage threats at distances up to 600 meters under normal conditions with iron sights and optics. The program builds on marksmanship fundamentals and challenges the solider with alternate firing positions, effective utilization of barriers, engagement of moving targets, and rapid engagements at targets of unknown distances (out to 600m) utilizing their individual rifle.
CQM MTT (5-10 Days) Close Quarters Marksmanship
- The CQM MTT course is a 5-10 day program which focuses on the Soldier’s need to accurately engage targets at ranges of 5m – 75m under normal conditions.
