FORT BENNING, Ga. — Officials at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit announced that the largest multi-discipline, shoulder to shoulder, collegiate shooting sports championship event in the United States will grow even larger in 2013.

At the inaugural Army Strong Collegiate Shooting Championships last week here on Fort Benning, competitors in the National Rifle Association Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, NRA Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships, Scholastic Steel Challenge Collegiate Championship, and Scholastic Clay Target Program Challenge earned their titles at the "Home of Champions.” With four distinct collegiate and junior shooting championship match programs proving to be a successful formula, the program will be replicated next year with the addition of a another venue.

The Association of Colleges Union International will hold its international qualifier for Shotgun as part of the 2013 Army Strong Collegiate Shooting Championships, bringing potentially hundreds of additional collegiate athletes to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit in mid-March of next year.
