Command Sergeant Major Charles Green Sr.

Command Sergeant Major Green Sr. hails from Shreveport, Louisiana.  He began his career as a Field Artilleryman in the United States Army on 1 June 1983.

Since his enlistment he has served in numerous leadership positions, including Howitzer Section Chief, Drill Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Chief of Firing Battery, Division Artillery Master Gunner, First Sergeant, Command Sergeant Major for 2nd Battalion, 11th Field Artillery in Schofield Barracks Hawaii, the Field Artillery Master Gunner at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and the Command Sergeant Major for 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington.

He attended Field Artillery, One Stop Unit Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  His military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Field Artillery Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Drill Sergeant School, First Sergeant Course, Air Assault School, United States Army Sergeants Major Academy and numerous of other courses.  His civilian education consists of an Associates Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College, a Certification in Information Systems Management from Western New Mexico University and a Bachelors of Science Degree in E-Business from University of Phoenix.

His stateside assignments include tours at Fort Polk, Louisiana, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Fort Lewis, Washington.  His overseas tours include Germany, South Korea, Hawaii, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.

His awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal w/2nd Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal w/3rd Oak Leaf Cluster and numerous of other awards.  He is also a member of the USAREUR Sergeant Morales Club, Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, the Field Artillery Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, the Noble Patron of Armor Saint George, the Noncommissioned Officer Association, and the Field Artillery Sergeants Major Association.
